Beauty: What is Your Priority?

Welcome to Sisters of the Faith!  We hope that you are having a blessed day!  I was pondering what to write in the beauty catagory.  As I was thinking, God led me to 1 Peter 3:3-4.  It states, “Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of platting of the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ormament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.”  (KJV) God requires that we adorn and beautify the inner man first and foremost.   When we look into our “spiritual mirror” what do we see?  Do we see love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,  meekness, and temperance?  (Galatians 5:19-23)  Do we take more time to adorn our outward appearance, rather than the innner man?  I believe that we must ask ourselves these questions before any discussion takes place.  I do not believe that we should “let ourselves go” or that no time should be spent beautifiying outwardly, but that God wants us to put things in perspective and begin to view ourselves as He views us.
