“And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. Isaiah 65:24
We have learned that an intimate friendship with our Creator is available to us, through Jesus Christ, if we would avail ourselves to His will rather than our own. We learn His will through our prayers. Throughout the Bible effective prayer includes elements of adoration, confession, commitment, as well as requests. As we continue to evolve into praying women we learn that God has given us many promises that are in direct connection with our obedience.
The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, and His ears are open to their prayers. 1 Peter 3:12
Obedience is necessary for true intimacy with God. Obedience to God involves listening to what He says. However, we must remember that delayed obedience is disobedience. So, we should not expect to receive these promises if we are are not truly obedient.
If you will obey me and keep my covenant, you will be my own special treasure from among all the nations of the earth; for all the earth belongs to me. Exodus 19:5
We must embrace the freedom that we now have to communicate with God through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Take and create opportunities to pray and remember to stop and listen for the voice of the Lord. Share your thoughts on how you are evolving into a praying woman. Part 1 Part 2
