Interesting insight Tracey. We have to be so careful when we open up our mouths. There are so many warnings in the scriptures about the tongue yet, we find it increasingly more difficult to heed the warnings. It would seem that the “meat eaters”, those that are supposed to be seasoned and are in positions of leadership (self-created or otherwise) would understand these truths far better than anyone. We must continue to pray!

I made a comment on a friends page about this very same quote made by MR. Pat Robertson. Was God punishing every person in the 911 attacks for some “pact” their ancestors had with the devil? Is God punishing every parent of every child that is abducted and murdered by child predators for some pact their ancestors had… with the devil? My thoughts are, did Mr. Robertson “sell his soul to the devil” when he allowed money to be his God and allowed alcohol and bars to be place inside his “Christian” Founder’s Inn? Hmmmmm……how many brothers and sisters in Christ did he cause to stumble????? Ooops, there I go Thinkin’ again….sorry….

Indeed, it does. Could this incident not simply have been God’s providence? What’s more is that many people look to this mere man instead of consulting the Lord for themselves. They take his commentaries and apply them as if they were the gospel truth. What happened to testing everything?
