It is really great that you give product recommendations with you demonstration! So many people take for granted that all hair types can be treated the same way. Keep the great information coming.

This presentation was presented by my daughter who, as a child, had very soft hair unlike her sisters’ hair all of whom had courser textures. Had I known then what she has become proficient in I would have been better prepared to start her off during the first hair growth period. As it turned out I lost the first crop of her hair because I failed to moisturize properly. During the 80′s balsalm was a popular product for conditioning hair after shampooing so that’s what I ended up using. since then it had been discovered that because the hormones it contained it was harmful for females. As people of color we have come along way with being educated about our uniqueness. Mom is impressed!!

Awesome! Very informative. I have researched sites on hair care tips for children, and was very disappointed when the site loaded. Mainly because there was not enough or specific information. They would have these wonderful pictures of cute sytles but no mention of how to get there.
When I lived in Charleston, my sisters did all the braiding, maintaining, and styling of my daughter’s hair. It was a little tough for me when we moved to North Carolina- I had always depended on them for that. I do have to say –that the Holy Spirit lead, directed, and taught me how to maintain their hair now. Any further questions/concerns that I had–this post answered it for me.

So thank you for the detail, and the product recommendation. Keep them coming!
